Disclosed is a pouch type secondary battery which includes an electrode assembly where an anode, a separator, and a cathode are alternately stacked; and a pouch case which comprises a first case which has an inner space for receiving the electrode assembly and an edge where a flange is prepared, a second case which is combined with the first case and covers the inner space, and a sealing part which is formed by combining the flange of the first case and the edge of the second case corresponding to it. The sealing part is bent to touch the lateral surface of the pouch case and is bonded to the lateral surface of the pouch case by an adhesive member.
