The present invention relates to a portable ultraviolet mineral appraisal device. The portable ultraviolet mineral appraisal device according to the present invention comprises: a main body part having a handle formed thereon; a light source part connected to the bottom surface of the main body part to irradiate ultraviolet rays downwards; and a safety unit to switch the light source part to halt the operation of the light source part if the light irradiation surface of the light source part is raised at an angle greater than or equal to a predetermined angle with respect to a horizontal plane.
