969,973. Controlling clutches; linkwork. RUTI MACHINERY WORKS Ltd. Feb. 5, 1962 [Feb. 3, 1961], No. 4432/62. Headings F2K and F2L. [Also in Division D1] A weaving loom clutch operating mechanism 10 is arranged so that the loom may be automatically stopped upon a weaving defect without disturbing a clutch operating handle 28. To start the loom, the handle 28 is moved from position O to V, to move a toggle 25, 23 past its centre until the member 25 abuts a stop 31 and a lever 19 is pivoted about a pin 20 to push down a rod 13 operating the mechanism 10. Upon a weaving defect occurring a bell crank 42 is automatically pivoted clockwise to raise a rod 41, which releases a catch 34 thus allowing a second toggle 21, 23 to break and the rod 13 to rise to disengage the mechanism 10 without disturbing the handle 28. The handle 28 is movable to a position R to further raise the rod 13 to reverse the loom.
|
