The safety knife (1) has a grip sleeve portion (10) for accommodating a lengthwise-sliding blade holder (4). An actuator element (13) is provided in the grip sleeve portion. The blade holder is shifted to rest position by driving the blade holder into the grip sleeve portion through the actuator element. The blade holder is shifted to work position by driving the blade holder out of the grip sleeve portion through the actuator element. The operation direction of actuator element is aligned orthogonally to longitudinal displacement direction of blade holder. |
