A method for detecting an object includes a step of outputting electromagnetic wave; a step of receiving reflection wave of the electromagnetic wave; a step of generating a plurality of object information which show each location for a predetermined reference point of objects based on the electromagnetic wave and reflection wave; a step of calculating a first distance between main observation line which represents shape and location of a predetermined detection target region according to an object of detection purpose and the objects based on main observation line information which shows the shape and location of the main observation line and the object information; and a step of selecting object information from one having the smallest first distance to at most the predetermined number in ascending order among the object information as object information to be outputted; and a step of outputting the selected object information.
