FIELD: machine building.SUBSTANCE: braking device is used in a distributor for continuously supplied material such as paper. The braking device comprises a supporting structure connected to the first gear wheel set so that it is able of rotating, and to mobile chassis. The chassis retains the second movable gear wheel which is travelling with the chassis. Both gear wheels interlock and provide for paper movement through them. The chassis keeps the teeth of the first and the second gear wheel interlocked with each other, at that the distance between the gear wheels is adjustable.
