FIELD: machine building.SUBSTANCE: method implies rotation of a workpiece, removal of metal by layers at different groove depth by a milling tool with its diameter being less than the groove width. At increase of the depth the path is corrected by moving of the milling tool from the central groove path along two mutually perpendicular axes for the distances defined on the basis of the stated ratios.EFFECT: milling of grooves of different width by the same milling tool, reduction of cutting force and provision for a groove with parallel walls.4 cl, 4 dwg
