Disclosed are a method for controlling an access controller by using a mobile phone, and an access controller thereof. The access controller and mobile phone of the present invention can be connected together through a single wireless LAN, and the access controller can provide various user interfaces for administrator control through the mobile phone without being equipped with a separate administrator interface. Therefore, the access controller eliminates the need of a keypad or an LCD for a user interface, thereby capable of being miniaturized and reducing production cost.
