A face recognition method according to an aspect of the present invention includes the following steps: an image obtaining step; an extraction step for extracting a first face image which is a facial area in the obtained image; a calculation step for calculating a feature value of the first image; a similarity calculation step for calculating the similarities between the first feature value and a second feature value of a second face image; a determination step for determining if the first and the second face images both belongs to the same user based on the results of the comparison between the similarities and the preset threshold value. |
