In a two-part fastening device for attaching a member 1 to an apertured support 2 in which both parts are moulded from synthetic plastic material, one part includes a plate like portion 6 for engaging the member 1 and a shank 9 adapted to be inserted into the aperture in the support, the other part 5 being formed with means for co-operative fastening engagement with the shank for securing the first part 6 in member supporting assembly on the support 2 the plate-like portion 6 being formed with a rib 11 and the other part 5 being formed with a rib or lip 12, the rib and rib or lip of the respective parts being adapted to make sealing engagement with portions of the adjacent faces of the support surrounding the aperture. As shown, the part 5 is a nut which is threaded on to the shank 9 and includes a rib 12 for sealing engagement with the support 2. The plate 6 also includes yieldable fingers 8 for engaging a moulding which constitutes the member 1. In another arrangement, Figs. 8-10 (not shown), the shank 9 is internally threaded to receive a threaded stud portion of a hemispherical head constituting a second part of the fastener. |
