A waste heat recovery system of a vessel and a method thereof are disclosed. The waste heat recovery system of a vessel according to an embodiment of the present invention includes a main engine, an economizer which is connected to the main engine by a gas line and which produces overheated steam by heating water by using waste heat contained in waste gas moving through a gas line by the operation of the main engine; a duct burner which is installed on the economizer and which selectively supplies hot air to the economizer; a steam separator which is connected to a water supply line which passes through the economizer; a turbo power generator which is rotated by the overheated steam and which produces electricity; and an overheated steam line which connecting the economizer and the turbo power generator. |
