The present invention relates to a pressure recovery pump for a desalination apparatus which can apply high pressure of waste water passing a membrane of the desalination apparatus, which desalinate saltwater at high pressure, to pressure acting on the saltwater to allow the saltwater to pass the membrane, thereby extending the durability of a high pressure pump for feeding the saltwater to the membrane, saving the energy, and increasing the desalinating efficiency. The pressure recovery pump includes a pressing unit connected to a recovery pipe which is connected to an outlet port of the membrane, and provided with a waste water pipe; a pumping unit connected to a branch pipe which is connected to an inflow pipe between the high pressure pump and an inflow pump, and a pumping pipe connected to an inlet side of the membrane; and a pair of pressing pipes connected to the pressing unit and the pumping unit at both ends thereof to pump the saltwater fed from the branch pipe at the pressure of the saltwater recovered to the recovery pipe to feed the saltwater to the pumping pipe.
