The invention is a hand tool used for the application of hot roll on bituminous roofing material. The tool consists of a long handle that is attached to a to a ferruled steel head consisting of two curved tines which terminate with a steel bar that is perpendicular and attached to the outer ends of the tines. The bar is sharpened to a dull blade on the outer edge. The tool is used to guide material while rolling out and applying heat to the roll roofing membrane. The blade is used for several applications including sealing the edges of the roofing material after layment, attaching the material to corners and vertical planes and removing granules to make a new seam surface. |
