PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an excitation controller for a synchronous machine capable of removing a possibility of a phase sequence error caused by a human error both in hardware and software.SOLUTION: The excitation controller for a synchronous machine is configured to converting a three-phase current obtained from a terminal of the synchronous machine coupled to an AC system and provide a field circuit of the synchronous machine therewith. The excitation controller includes functions of igniting a rectifier constituting a rectifier circuit in a predetermined phase sequence, obtaining a phase sequence of the three-phase current, and confirming that the phase sequence matches the predetermined phase sequence. |
