The present invention relates to a backlight device capable of improving an outer appearance by preventing a shape formed on the bottom of a cover bottom from being displayed as the front image of the backlight device. The backlight device includes: the cover bottom which has a square plate shape to include a receiving space inside and includes a plurality of receiving units which protrude from the bottom along a lateral side; a light guide plate which is received in the cover bottom to support a lateral end thereof in the receiving unit; and a light source which is arranged on the lateral side of the light guide plate and emits light to the light guide plate. The backlight device further includes a reflecting sheet which is arranged on the bottom of the cover bottom. |
