PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hybrid type hot water supply system in which useless commercial power is not used by combining electric power generated by renewable energy with a solar water heater.SOLUTION: A hybrid type hot water supply system includes: solar water heaters 2 for heating water by solar heat and storing hot water; a heat retaining tank 3 for storing and retaining hot water obtained by the solar water heaters 2; a solar power generation apparatus 4 and a wind power generation apparatus 5 for generating electric power by renewable energy; a power storage apparatus 6 which is charged with power generated by the solar power generation apparatus 4 and the wind power generation apparatus 5; and a power heater 11 for heating hot water in the heat retaining tank 3 by power directly generated by the solar power generation apparatus 4 and the wind power generation apparatus 5 or power charged in the power storage apparatus 6.
