PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vertical shaft capable of effectively suppressing noises, which are generated during construction work within the vertical shaft and a tunnel communicating with the vertical shaft and propagated to the ground from the vertical shaft, within the vertical shaft.SOLUTION: In a vertical shaft 10 for use in construction work, a first sound insulation material 3 assuming an annular shape from an edge of a pit mouth 2 of the vertical shaft 10 overhangs to the inside of the pit mouth 2; a cylindrical sound absorption material 4 is suspended from an inside edge of the first sound insulation material 3; the inside of the vicinity of the pit mouth of the vertical shaft 10 is completely enclosed with the cylindrical sound absorption material 4; and a second sound insulation material 5 assuming a cylindrical shape is attached to a pit wall-side surface of the cylindrical sound absorption material 4. |
