PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology for preventing reduction in operability in remotely operating an image forming apparatus.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus includes a generation part, a transmission part, and a receiving part. The generation part generates a composite image CP2 by synthesizing a hardware key area image HG1, which is an image of an area including hardware key images KG1-KG8 corresponding to a hardware key of the image forming apparatus, in an operation screen image SG1 corresponding to an operation screen of the image forming apparatus. The transmission part transmits image data of the composite image CP2, as display data of a remote operation image RG2 of the image forming apparatus, to an external terminal 50. The receiving part receives operation input information for the composite image CP2 displayed as the remote operation image RG2 on the external terminal 50, from the external terminal 50. |
