PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disposable diaper provided with three-dimensional gathers having high air permeability, flexibility and leakage-preventing properties.SOLUTION: A disposable diaper 1 includes an absorptive body 2 having an absorber 23, a surface sheet 21 and an outer layer composite sheet 22. The absorptive body 2 has side sheets 24 fixedly disposed at both side parts of the absorptive body 2 via fixation parts 27. The side sheets 24 are each composed of a piece of sheet, the edges 24I at the inner edge parts thereof are folded back to positions of the fixation parts 27, and elastic members 25 are fixedly disposed in the vicinity of folded-back top parts 24T1. With respect to the side sheets 24, the edges 24I at the outer edge parts are folded back to the positions of the fixation part 27, and elastic members 26 are fixedly disposed with a space S from folded-back top parts 24T2. With respect to the side sheets 24, the space between the folded-back sheets at an area 24Z except for an area 25T where the elastic members 25 are disposed, and an area 26T where the elastic members 26 are disposed, is joined via a cohesive part 28 so as to be integrated. |
