<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for processing organic waste water, capable of reducing a volume of surplus sludge generated in a biological treatment process for organic waste water in a simple and economical manner.SOLUTION: The method for processing organic waste water includes: a step 1 of biologically treating organic waste water under aerobic conditions; a step 2 of separating the effluent from the step 1 into a process liquid and a separated sludge by solid-liquid separation; a step 3 of biologically treating at least a part of the separated sludge under aerobic conditions for acid fermentation to generate an organic acid; a step 4 of treating the organic acid-containing liquid from the step 3 by aeration for oxidative decomposition of the organic acid; and a step 5 of returning the effluent from the step 4 to the step 1.</p> |
