PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a binder composition for casting mold molding, superior in storage stability and achieving improvement in flexibility of a casting mold and the final strength of the casting mold, and to provide a casting mold composition using the binder composition.SOLUTION: The binder composition for casting mold molding contains one kind or more of compounds selected from a group composed of 5-hydroxymethyl furfural and 5-acetoxyl furfural, a fran resin and a phenol resin. In the binder composition for casting mold molding, weight average molecular weight of the phenol resin is 1,000-5,000, and the content of the phenol resin is 2 mass%-35 mass%, and the content of the one kind or more of compounds selected from the group composed of the 5-hydroxymethyl furfural and the 5-acetoxyl furfural, is 2 mass%-35 mass%. |
