PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for grinding a spherical surface-shaped end face of a roller-shaped workpiece, which can be miniaturized and can improve machining accuracy.SOLUTION: An inside rotation clamping member 32 has an annular outward bearing-surface 34 comprising a portion of a conical surface centering on a central axis C of a first rotary drive shaft 11 and radially outward. An outside rotation clamping member 33 has an annular inward bearing-surface 39 comprising a portion of a conical surface centering on a central axis C of a second rotary drive shaft 12 and radially inward. Both bearing-surfaces 34, 39 come to face each other, and a pocket 44 for supporting a workpiece W is provided on a portion positioning between both bearing-surfaces 34, 39 of a carrier 31 so that the workpiece W is brought into autorotation and revolution by the rotation of both clamping members 32, 33. A central axis of the workpiece W supported by the pocket 44 is inclined to the central axis C of the rotary drive shafts 11, 12. |
