PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of suppressing the occurrence of density unevenness in an image, even when insulating materials such as an external additive, shaved powder of a drum, and toner are attached to a charging member.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus includes an image carrier 1 charged by charging means 100 that contacts the image carrier 1, and exposes the image carrier 1 to form an electrostatic latent image. The image forming apparatus then attaches a developer to the electrostatic latent image to form a developed image, and transfers the developed image onto a recording medium to form an image on the recording medium. The charging means can be applied with a conductive liquid with liquid application means. |
