PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aluminum alloy wire material in which the occurence of metal powder is suppressed, and to provide an enameled wire using the aluminum alloy wire material.SOLUTION: The aluminum alloy wire material is produced by adding at least 0.3 wt.% to 1.0 wt.% of iron to pure aluminum having a purity of 99.7% or more. The aluminum alloy wire material has: an electric conductivity of 60% IACS or more; a Vickers hardness of 50 Hv or more; and an elongation of 3% or more.
