The invention provides a winding apparatus, which can reduce load on a partition member at an initial winding stage for obtaining quality improvement. The winding apparatus (10) comprises a winding part (11), a positive electrode sheet supply mechanism (31) for supplying a positive electrode sheet (4), a negative electrode sheet supply mechanism (41) for supplying a negative electrode sheet (5), and a partition member supply mechanism (51,52) for supplying a partition member (2,3). The partition member (2,3) and electrode sheets (4,5) are supplied to the winding part by passing between a pair of clamping rods (71A,71B,81A,81B). One clamping rod (71A,81B) is controlled by a servo electromotor (85).Besides, at initial winding stage, the torque control is performed on the clamping rod (71A,81A) by reducing the tension applied on the partition member (2,3) between the clamping rods (71A,71B),(81A,81B). |
