PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a writing instrument with a cap capable of preventing the loss of the cap and the deterioration of writing performance, and having a simple structure.SOLUTION: The writing instrument with a cap includes: a shaft cylinder 10; a writing portion 20 projected out from the shaft cylinder 10; a cap portion 40 covered on the writing portion 20; and arm portions 51 and 52 connected with the cap portion 40 on a front end side. In the shaft cylinder 10, dimensions in one direction orthogonal to a writing portion axial direction are formed in a flat shape smaller than dimensions in the other direction orthogonal to the one direction and the writing portion axial direction. The cap portion 40 is provided so as to cover the writing portion 20 by retracting in the writing axial direction relative to the shaft cylinder 10, and separate from the writing portion 20 by moving forward in the opposite direction. The arm portions 51 and 52 are journaled at the shaft cylinder 10 so as to rotate the cap portion 40 in a separated state from the writing portion 20, in the one direction. |
