PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a movement auxiliary device capable of changing travel speed of a movable body during a guiding operation.SOLUTION: A movable auxiliary device 10 includes: a striker 13 disposed in a movable body 9; a catcher 31 disposed in a frame body and capturing the striker 13; a guide mechanism 30 guiding the striker 13 captured by the catcher 31 toward a closed position; and a brake mechanism 60 braking the striker 13 guided by the guide mechanism 30. The brake mechanism 60 includes: a damper 61 having a rod 63 moving back and forth relative to a cylinder 62; and a gear 45 moving along a guide of the striker 13 by the guide mechanism 30 and engaged with the rod 63 so as to actuate the damper 61.
