PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a microscope illumination device that is high in utilization efficiency of light, compact and easy for an adjustment, and to provide a microscope provided with the microscope illumination device.SOLUTION: A microscope illumination device includes: a light source: a spatial modulation part; a first illumination optical system; and a second illumination optical system. The spatial modulation part has a reflection type spatial modulation element and a polarization element, and the first illumination optical system is arranged on an optical path from the light source to the spatial modulation element. The second illumination optical element is arranged on an optical path from the spatial modulation element to a specimen position, and a position of the spatial modulation element is conjugated with the specimen position. Further, the microscope comprises: an illumination device; a body part; an observation device; and a control device. The microscope illumination device is used for the illumination device. |
