PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ignition apparatus with a self-inspection function capable of easily performing inspection.SOLUTION: The ignition apparatus includes: an ignition power supply circuit 10a for storing power with a voltage necessary for igniting an explosive device connected to a power supply 1; an ignition switch circuit 10b for connecting or disconnecting between the ignition power supply circuit 10a and the explosive device; a self-inspection circuit 10c for detecting resistance or voltage of the ignition power supply circuit 10a or the ignition switch circuit 10b; a control circuit 10d for outputting a control signal for instructing connection or disconnection to the ignition switch circuit 10b and outputting the resistance or voltage detected by the self-inspection circuit 10c to the external; a voltage restriction circuit 24 for restricting voltages in the ignition power supply circuit 10a, the ignition switch circuit 10b and the self-inspection circuit 10c; and an initiator 2a located between the ignition switch circuit 10b and the explosive device to ignite the explosive device, in which the initiator 2a is configured so as not to be ignited even when a current of a value lower than a predetermined current is allowed to flow.
