PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an in-wheel motor drive device capable of reducing a load applied to a reduction gear etc. at a low temperature.SOLUTION: An in-wheel motor drive device includes: an electric motor 1 which drives a wheel; a wheel bearing 5 which supports the wheel; and a reduction gear 2 which reduces a rotation speed and transmits it to the wheel bearing 5. The reduction gear 2 is lubricated by a lubrication oil which is pumped by an oil pump. The in-wheel motor drive device is provided with: temperature detecting means Sa which detects a temperature of the lubrication oil or a temperature of the electric motor 1; and output limiting means 49 which limits the output of the electric motor 1 when the temperature detected by the temperature detecting means Sa is equal to or lower than a predetermined threshold value. |
