PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a controller for power conversion apparatus having a simple composition in which temperature information on a semiconductor element can be externally output without disturbing output of an alarm signal.SOLUTION: The controller for the power conversion apparatus has: an alarm signal generation circuit which detects information required for protecting an operation of a semiconductor element which constitutes a power conversion apparatus and generates an alarm signal of a pulse width according to a protection factor to externally output it; a temperature signal generation circuit which detects the temperature of the semiconductor element and generates a PWM signal correlated with the temperature of a cycle which is different from the pulse width of the alarm signal; and an output control circuit which selects the PWM signal in a normal time and selects the alarm signal in place of the PWM signal to externally output it when the alarm signal is generated. |
