PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid false detection by a human sensor and to enable apparatus control while keeping the battery life of a tag at or above a certain level.SOLUTION: An apparatus control system comprises: a human sensor that is installed to detect presence or absence of a person in an apparatus control region on the basis of a temperature change; a tag reader that is installed to perform communication with a tag situated in a communication range including the apparatus control region; and an apparatus control device that controls a lighting apparatus. The apparatus control device turns on the lighting apparatus according to the detection of presence of a person by the human sensor, and turns off the lighting apparatus according to the detection of absence of a person by the human sensor and a state in which the tag reader is not communicating with the tag. |
