<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an atomizing furnace superior in indirect heat conduction.SOLUTION: The atomizing furnace for atomic absorption spectroscopy comprises a tubular furnace and a sample carrier 10. The sample carrier serves the purpose of taking up an analyte and is disposed within the tubular furnace. The sample carrier includes at least three supporting protrusions 12, 13, and 14 by which the sample carrier is accurately supported on an interior wall of the tubular furnace, and the supporting protrusions are disposed in a common plane running through a longitudinal axis 16 of the sample carrier. At least two supporting protrusions 12 and 13 are formed on respectively opposite ends 17 and 18 of the sample carrier.</p> |
