PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stable braking force by alleviating an adverse effect of a detection error caused by a hydraulic sensor in a brake control system that uses an electric motor to generate a brake fluid pressure according to a depression of a brake pedal.SOLUTION: A master pressure control unit 4 controls activation of an electric motor 22 on the basis of a hydraulic pressure of a master cylinder 2, which is detected by a hydraulic sensor 45, according to a magnitude of a depression of a brake pedal 19, drives a primary piston 8, and causes the master cylinder 2 to generate a brake fluid pressure. When the brake pedal 19 is maneuvered, if the hydraulic pressure detected by the hydraulic sensor 45 is equal to or smaller than an activation threshold, assuming that a variation in the hydraulic pressure detected by the hydraulic sensor 45 is small for activation of the electric motor 22 in a direction of withdrawing the primary piston 8, the position of the primary piston 8 is sustained. As a result, an excessive withdrawal of the primary piston 8 derived from a detection error caused by the hydraulic sensor 45 can be prevented, and the brake fluid pressure is raised immediately with advancement of the primary piston 8.
|
