PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric power type resistor which can be produced in high-volume and in low manufacturing cost.SOLUTION: An electric power type resistor 1 comprises: a housing 2 integrally formed by press work, including a first plate-like part (a lateral plate 2b), a pair of second plate-like parts (a bottom plate 2a and a top plate 2c) erected on both ends of the first plate-like part so as to face each other, and fitting parts 2d-2g provided on two plate-like parts, that is, the first plate-like part and one of the second plate-like parts. The electric power type resistor further comprises: a pair of bushings 4 contacting to the first plate-like part and the pair of second plate-like parts of the housing, and covering each opening at both ends of the housing; a resistance element placed in a space surrounded by the pair of bushings, the first plate-like part, and the pair of second plate-like parts; a heat resistant insulating filler 3 filled in the space to seal the resistance element; and a lead wire 5 connected to the resistance element and led out through an insertion hole bored on the bushings. |
