PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structure capable of preventing a current collecting disk from being cracked when the current collecting disk is caulked and fixed to an internal lead and/or an external lead, in a discharge lamp in which metal foil is longitudinally disposed along the side face of a sealing glass member disposed in the sealing part of an arc tube and the current collecting disk is disposed at the end face of the glass member and connected to the metal foil.SOLUTION: A current collecting disk 20 is composed of a first disk 21 and a second disk 22 on the periphery thereof, the first disc is made of a metal having a ductility-brittleness transition temperature lower than that of the second disk, a lead 6 has a recessed part formed on the peripheral surface thereof and is inserted in a through hole formed in the first disk, and the first disk is plastically deformed in the vicinity of the through hole to be caulked and fixed with a part of a disk material intruded in the recessed part of the lead, and is joined and fixed to the second disk by plastic deformation of the first disk. |
