Novelty: a floating anemometer is disclosed Constitution: the mast (1), the arms (2) having meteorological instruments thereon, the stretching means (3), the connection beams (5), the float's connection ring (7), the connection means of the float-anchor (8), the anchor's connection ring (9), the bottom anchoring body (10), the measurement instruments (11), and four floats (the central float (4) and the end floats (6)) the number of which can change analogously to the desired design dimensions and the aimed oscillation period of the construction. The floating member of the construction counteracts the overturning forces while the aforementioned mast (1) bears on the arms (2) meteorological instruments and, in particular, instruments measuring the direction and velocity of the wind. The construction is liable to freely follow the movement of the waves without exceeding the allowed limit defined by anchoring and float-anchor connection. Fabrication materials: the construction and, especially, the floats can be entirely made of metal or mixed materials such as plastics, concrete, synthetic materials, and natural materials. Purpose: the invention aims at measuring the strength and direction of the wind at significant heights from the sea level and significant sea depths, upon small displacements of the vertical axle according to the relationship established between the waving and the oscillation period ofthe construction. |
