<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic key system capable of securing crime prevention even when a radio wave directed to a communication area set at a vehicle side part is propagated to a periphery of an opposite vehicle side part.SOLUTION: A reception circuit of a vehicle is provided with first and second switches 37, 38 which switch the path of a reception signal of a first receiving antenna 20 between a normal line 35 and a delay line 36. An ECU determines on which of the driver's seat side and passenger's seat side of the vehicle a portable machine is positioned based upon the large/small relation between an output value of a filter 34 when the path of the reception signal of the first receiving antenna 20 is switched to the normal line 35 and an output value of the filter 34 when the path is switched to the delay line 36. The ECU permits a door lock device to operate when the determination result coincides with a side where a response from the portable machine is originally expected and does not permit the door lock device to operate when not.</p> |
