PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rechargeable battery identification device for an image recording apparatus with a secondary battery capable of identifying the secondary battery and a dummy battery type AC adapter in simple configuration.SOLUTION: In a rechargeable battery identification device for an image recording apparatus, a secondary battery can be mounted. The secondary battery includes a temperature detection terminal which outputs a temperature state of the secondary battery per se. In a place where the secondary battery is mounted, a dummy battery can be mounted exclusively. The image recording apparatus comprises a connection connector, charging means, and control means. The charging means performs charging control on the secondary battery by controlling power from the connection connector. The control means controls the charging means and image processing operation. The temperature detection terminal is connected to a thermistor in the secondary battery. The thermistor has a positive or negative temperature coefficient grounding one terminal. When a pull-up voltage is applied through a resistor to the temperature detection terminal, the control means detects a voltage of the temperature detection terminal. By detecting the voltage, it is determined whether the dummy battery is mounted. |
