PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and apparatus for machining a metal component that can improve workability when thickening the end of a metallic plate.SOLUTION: A method for machining a metal component is provided for thickening the end of a metallic plate. The method includes; a bending process of bending the end of a plate to either one side of the surface of the plate and the backside thereof; and a forming process of crushing the end of the plate subjected to the bending process, and of bringing a metal material making the end of the plate to the other side that is the side opposite to the one side among the surface of the plate and the backside thereof. |
