METHOD OF FABRICATING LIGHTWEIGHT AND THIN LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY DEVICE

A method for manufacturing a lightweight and thin liquid crystal display device is for preventing a fault due to a residual layer of a color resist by removing the residual layer of the color resist through etching of a buffer metal pattern in a cell process, after depositing the buffer metal pattern at an edge part between a thin glass substrate and a sub substrate and then proceeding a next color filter process, in using the sub substrate for process proceeding of the thin glass substrate. The method of the present invention includes the steps of: providing a first and a second thin main substrate and a first, a second and a third sub substrate; attaching the first and the second sub substrate to the first and the second thin main substrate respectively; proceeding an array process in the first main substrate attached with the first sub substrate; forming a first touch electrode on the first main substrate; forming a second touch electrode on one plane of the second main substrate attached with the second sub substrate; separating the second sub substrate from the second main substrate, after attaching the third sub substrate to one plane of the second main substrate where the second touch electrode is formed; forming a buffer metal pattern at an edge of the other plane of the second main substrate under the state that the third sub substrate is attached; proceeding a color filter process on the other plane of the second main substrate where the buffer metal pattern is formed; bonding the first main substrate where the array process is proceeded and the second main substrate where the color filter process is proceeded; removing the buffer metal pattern; and separating the first and the third sub substrate from the first and the second main substrate.
