PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a circularly polarizing plate for an organic EL display device, which increases outgoing light in an organic EL display device, and thereby achieves improvement in the luminance of a displayed image, which also alleviates reduction of reflected light and improves visibility, and thereby can achieve saving of power consumption and a long service life of an organic EL element, and which can further suppress changes in hue of a displayed image, and to provide an organic EL display device using the circularly polarizing plate.SOLUTION: The circularly polarizing plate for an organic EL display device includes: a linearly polarizing plate having a single body transmittance of 46 to 70% in a visible light region (at a wavelength from 400 to 700 nm), a λ/4 retardation plate, and at least one colored adhesive layer containing a blue pigment. An organic EL display device including the circularly polarizing plate is also provided. The circularly polarizing plate for an organic EL display device can improve transmittance of light, reduce reflectance of external light and suppress changes in hue of transmitted light. |
