PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic electroluminescent element capable of achieving high efficiency, long life and high color rendering property while reducing chromaticity change.SOLUTION: The organic electroluminescent element has a multi-unit structure in which a first light emitting unit 5a and a second light emitting unit 5b including a light-emitting layer 10 which are laminated being interposed by an intermediate layer 3 between an anode 1 and a cathode 2. The light-emitting layer 10 in the first light emitting unit 5a includes a blue light-emitting material. The light-emitting layer 10 in the second light emitting unit 5b has a laminate structure including a red light-emitting layer 10R containing a red light-emitting material and a green light-emitting layer 10G containing a green light-emitting material. The layer at the anode 1 side in the red light-emitting layer 10R and the green light-emitting layer 10G is a layer containing a hole transporting material as a host material; and the layer at the cathode 2 side is a layer containing an electron transporting material as a host material. |
