PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioner that reduces discomfort caused by irregular and intermittent noise generated from a drain pump.SOLUTION: The air conditioner comprises an indoor heat exchanger, an indoor fan, a drain water storage part for storing drain water generated in the indoor heat exchanger, and a drain pump 10 for discharging the drain water stored in the drain water storage part. The air conditioner also includes a generated drain water quantity calculation unit 31 for calculating quantity of generated drain water on the basis of an air conditioning operation state and a drain pump control unit 32 that increases motor rotation speed of the drain pump 10 when the quantity of the generated drain water increases and reduces the motor rotation speed of the drain pump 10 when the quantity of the generated drain water decreases. |
