PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ball screw device capable of preventing damage of a resin-made gear on the side of the ball screw device, and a linear actuator comprising the same.SOLUTION: A ball screw device comprises: a stress absorption mechanism 38 in which a nut-side locking piece rotating in a circumferential direction of a ball screw nut 30 on the side of the outer periphery of a ball screw shaft 36 by the rotational motion of the ball screw nut 30, and a screw-side stopper facing the nut-side locking piece in the circumferential direction of the ball screw nut 30 are configured to change in shape by contracting in the circumferential direction of the ball screw nut 30 when the nut-side locking piece and the screw shaft-side stopper makes contact with each other in the circumferential direction of the ball screw nut 30, thereby absorbing stress which is generated at the time of contact in the circumferential direction of the ball screw nut 30 and transferred through a stress transferring path from the nut-side stopper to a ball screw device-side resin-made gear 34 formed of a resin material.
