PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing device enabling elimination of an operation for inputting the category of a sheet in a case where a skew feed occurs when a sheet is mounted, followed by removing the sheet and re-mounting a sheet.SOLUTION: An image processing device, having a skew feed detection mechanism for detecting whether a fed sheet is fed in skew, includes: sheet state reading means for reading a state of a fed sheet; sheet category reception means for receiving input of a sheet category read by the sheet state reading means; and storage means for storing the state of the sheet correlated with the sheet category. Further, in a case where the sheet state reading means reads a state of a sheet within a given period after the skew feed detection means detects a skew feed, reception of inputting of the sheet category is eliminated, and the sheet category stored in the storage means at the last occurrence of a skew feed is used.
