<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus that improves cleanability to perform good image formation.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus includes: an image carrier 1 that has an outer peripheral surface in which a latent image is written, and has a cylindrical or columnar shape to rotate around a shaft; developing means 3 for supplying a toner containing an external additive to the latent image formed on the outer peripheral surface of the image carrier 1 to form a toner image; transfer means for transferring the toner image formed on the outer peripheral surface of the image carrier 1 to a transfer target body; external additive supply means for supplying the external additive to the outer peripheral surface of the image carrier 1; a pressing member 27 that is brought into pressure contact with the outer peripheral surface of the image carrier 1 to press the external additive to the toner remaining on the outer peripheral surface of the image carrier 1; cleaning means 22 for cleaning and recovering the toner and the external additive remaining on the outer peripheral surface of the image carrier 1; and toner recycling mechanisms 24 and 25 that supply the residual toner and external additive recovered by the cleaning means 22 to the developing means as a recycled toner.</p> |
