PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a glass top plate for a cooking device which improves visibility of a display furthermore.SOLUTION: A glass top plate 1 for a cooking device has a light shielding part 11 and a translucent display part 12 provided on a substrate glass 2, and is used in a state where a display is arranged below the display part 12. The light shielding part 11 is disposed by laminating at least a light shielding layer 3 on a back side surface 22 of the substrate glass 2 and the display part 12 is disposed by laminating only a transparent resin layer 4 on a back side surface 22 of the substrate glass 2. A refractive index &rgr;of the transparent resin layer 3, with respect to a refractive index &rgr;of the substrate glass 2, has a relation: |&rgr;-&rgr;|≤0.1. An arithmetic average roughness Ra of an exposed surface of the transparent resin layer 4 is 0.09 μm or less. The transparent resin layer preferably has a color difference &Dgr;E before and after being retained at 170°C for 5 hours, of 1.5 or less. |
