EVALUATION METHOD OF SACCHARIFICATION PERFORMANCE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To quickly evaluate saccharification performance on cellulosic biomass on a cellulosic biomass processing using an alkali solution without actually saccharifying with enzyme.SOLUTION: In the middle of or after a pretreatment process in which cellulosic biomass is contacted to an alkali solution, pyrolysis temperature of the cellulosic biomass is measured, and saccharification performance on a cellulosic biomass processing is evaluated based on the measured pyrolysis temperature.
