Disclosed are a method and an apparatus for diagnosing illegal software online and managing the result. A server according to an embodiment of the present invention includes a communication unit for transmitting connection information for an illegal software diagnosis agent to a manager terminal and constituting a network connection with a plurality of terminals including the manager terminal based on the connection information; a storage unit for storing software management information received from the manager terminal and software installation information for each terminal received from the terminals; and a control unit for comparing the software management information and the software installation information to calculate an illegality index. The software management information includes the number of pieces of held software, and the illegality index is calculated by comparing the number of all pieces of installed software acquired from the software installation information with the number of pieces of held software. |
